Climate:
The Iquitos area, is 4 degrees south of the Equator, is characterized by strong tropical sun and a warm humid climate. The dominant vegetation is rain forest. Temperature varies from the mid- to mid-high 90's F during the day, night-time temperatures can drop some 10 degrees. Rain normally occurs during the afternoon or night, and humidity levels are high (90-100% every day).
